The imagination and excitement of children always interests me, and while photographing Quinn recently, she showed me that natures simplest events can be quite spectacular.

We went for a little walk with Quinn's Dalmatian pet 'Marshall'

Sometimes asking someone to smile at the camera doesn't always translate...but still allows for a little quirky personality to shine through

Now... 'rain' is never far, and even if its not falling, it leaves behind its trace in puddles. While wandering along this little path near Kelty, Quinn stopped to examine the patches of water that we were manoeuvring around. She realised that she could get objects to float in the puddles...and had me mesmerised by her 'floating leaves'

We finished the shoot a little muddy, but having learnt one of nature's little secrets
